Immer besser! - very impressive machine, would recommend!
I have only had this machine for one week, and I am new to the Miele brand, so this review is based on quite limited experience. I will try to be as comprehensive and helpful as I can based on this. That said, so far I think this is an exceptional machine. A very wide variety of wash programmes catering for a panoply of different fabric types, with different levels of soiling. I'm only just getting to know the machine so I've only used a few so far. There is a guidance function that helps choose the cycle, water temperature and spin speed based on a description of the load. Lots of options are available for each programme such as an anti-allergy function, and the ability to select specific stains. The TwinDos function is very innovative. So easy not to have to think about detergent and just let the machine dispense however much is needed/when appropriate. You get a voucher for 6 months worth free of TwinDos too, so basically no detergent purchases for half a year. CapDos is probably just as good, but you have to remember to *click* the cap into place, otherwise it just fills up with water and nothing much gets dispensed! You can obviously use any other liquid, powder, or pod detergent with the machine if you don't want to use CapDos or TwinDos. You can get caps for fabric conditioner or use a liquid. Very quiet operation - spinning is obviously louder than washing but it doesn't intrude really even at the max 1600rpm and is MUCH quieter than my old machine. In a separate kitchen or utility space I don't think you'd notice it. Drying programmes are equally varied and appropriate - if I want 'iron wet', I select that, and that's what I get; if I want 'cupboard dry', likewise. The 'ThermoSpin' function combines drying with a spin cycle to maximise water extraction. The Miele app is efficient and allows easy control and monitoring of machine functions, including detergent levels. It was easy to set-up on my phone too. My only gripe is that whilst you can stop the cycle from the app at the end of the programme, you cannot turn off the "I'm finished now" beep signal, which continues. The M Touch display system takes a while to get used to - I do find myself slightly missing physical buttons/dials. It can be a bit finicky and is sometimes unresponsive. Wash/dry timings are reasonable - in my experience - and the machine adapts if it detects that more/less time is needed per cycle. Delayed start function is very useful and I like that I can specify exactly *when* the machine should start. Also, the machine looks very good in my kitchen - very smart job! The built-in maintenance cycles are good - there is a dedicated one to rinse out dryer fluff, I'm not sure how often you are supposed to use it, but I've tried it and it works very well. There is also one to cleanse the TwinDos pipe system and you can purchase a cleaner cartridge for this, and a machine clean function too. I have to praise Miele customer service too. I had a number of unforeseen problems with my delivery, which unfortunately also included a replacement machine having to be sent out. I do feel that Miele went above and beyond to work to get this sorted in liaison with their delivery partner. They authorised the replacement machine with absolutely no fuss once they knew what the problem was, and although I had to wait a while to receive it, so far I am satisfied that it was worth it. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and I would recommend it. I really wanted a washer/dryer with the auto-detergent and QuickPower wash function and so for me this ticks all the boxes!
