Floorhead/casing attracting fluff deposits

The floorhead and/or casing of the vacuum cleaner are attracting fluff deposits.

Static charge.

Friction from fine dust (e.g. drilling dust, sand, plaster dust or flour) inside the suction tube and hose or when pushing the vacuum cleaner over carpets always causes static charge to build up in the appliance.

As a result, when vacuuming carpets, the floorhead and the casing frequently attract fluff deposits, which collect on the surface of the appliance.

Spray the floorhead and the casing with an antistatic spray that is suitable for use on the vacuum cleaner surface.

A metal strip has been incorporated into the underside of the handle of some Miele vacuum cleaner models to discharge static charge.

Not all vacuum cleaner models feature this metal strip. Models which do not feature a metal strip in the handle are not faulty. The metal strip cannot be retrofitted.

If your vacuum cleaner model has a metal strip on the underside of its handle, have an expert check if the metal strip is coming into contact with the tube.

Please make sure that you keep your hand in constant contact with this metal strip during vacuuming.
