Milk/milk froth sprays/sputters (CVA 6xxx built-in appliance)

The milk/milk froth is dispensed erratically by the coffee machine (sprays, splutters) (CVA 6xxx built-in appliance).

The milk container was placed in the refrigerator with its lid on, which has caused milk fat to collect inside the lid, reducing the milk flow.

Remove the milk container lid before storing the container in the refrigerator and use the compact closure.

Clean the lid of the milk container at the end of each day as follows:

  • Rinse the milk pipework in the lid under running water.

  • Then clean the lid in a dishwasher.

Milk residue has accumulated in the central spout, where it is decreasing the milk flow.

Clean the central spout at least once a week, proceeding as follows:

  • Bring the central spout into the maintenance position.

  • Remove the cover.

  • Push the retainer upwards. Remove the dispensing unit by pulling it forwards.

  • Hold the spout at the sides and pull forwards to release.

  • Turn the upper connection piece and pull it upwards to remove it.

  • Remove the lower connecting piece in the same way.

  • Pull off the spout. The Y-piece should not be removed.

  • Clean all parts (except the cover) in the dishwasher.

  • Then reassemble the dispensing unit in the opposite order.

  • Ensure that the top dispensing piece snaps into place with an audible click.

  • Push the spouts firmly back onto the unit.

The upper connecting piece of the central spout is preventing the milk from flowing freely (steam connection).
