Burner does not ignite during commissioning

The burner does not ignite when the gas hob is commissioned for the first time or after it has been out of use for a longer period.

The hob is not plugged in.

Plug in the hob and switch it on at the socket.

The relevant circuit breaker in the building’s wiring system is not switched on.

Switch on the relevant circuit breaker in the building’s wiring system.

The gas safety socket is still closed.

Open the gas safety socket.

There is an air lock in the gas pipe.

Repeat the ignition process several times to get rid of any air in the gas pipe.

The burner parts have not been correctly assembled or are soiled.

Check that the burner parts have been correctly assembled and that the burners are clean and dry.

Make sure that the holes in the burner are dry and free of obstructions. See the operating instructions for more detailed information.

Hobs without electronic ignition: during ignition, please keep the rotary control pressed for approx. 8 seconds, applying a little extra pressure just before you release it.

Gas hobs with a propane gas connection: the gas cylinder is empty.

Change the gas cylinder. New gas cylinders are available from any standard DIY store.

After changing the gas cylinder, check both the cylinder and the gas connections for leaks.
