Hob frame gets hot

The hob frame gets very hot.

The frame temperature depends on the intensity of use. There are various influencing factors that can make the hob frame hot.

The hob frame can get hot due to the influence of the following factors:

  • Operating time

  • High power levels

  • Large cookware

  • Number of cooking zones used

Compared to older hobs, the power of the heater elements is higher. The higher power of the heater elements coupled with their intensive use likewise leads to a higher frame temperature.

High frame temperatures are normal and do not indicate a malfunction. To reduce the temperature, please use small cookware with a flat base and good thermal conductivity insofar as possible.

No remedy necessary.
