Pan heating varies across cooking zones

A pan gets hot more quickly on one hob cooking zone than it does on another.

The pan will work best on the cooking zone that best matches the diameter of the pan base.

A smaller pan may therefore take longer to heat up on a cooking zone that is too large than it does on a smaller, better matching cooking zone, as the distribution of the magnetic field is less effective. This is due to the laws of physics.

Please use the pans on the most appropriately sized cooking zones.
