Laundry damp and Clean out airways lights up

The laundry is still damp. The drying cycle duration is very long. The Clean out airways indicator light may still come on even though the fluff filters have been cleaned.

The load consists of different types of fabric.

Select a suitable programme for the next drying cycle.

Ventilation in the room is insufficient (e.g. because the dryer is installed in a small room). This may cause the temperature in the room to rise.

Open a window before switching the tumble dryer on to ensure a supply of fresh air.

The air flow in the tumble dryer cannot circulate.

Clean the heat exchanger in accordance with the operating instructions (condenser dryers only).

Clean the plinth filter in accordance with the operating instructions or watch the video in the link (heat-pump dryers only).

The fluff filter is soiled.

Clean the fluff filter in the door and in the door opening in accordance with the operating instructions (all tumble dryers).

The laundry has not been spun sufficiently and is still too damp.

Spin the laundry in the washing machine at a higher speed.

The load size is too large.

To obtain the desired drying results, refer to the operating instructions for the optimum load size for the relevant programme.

The heat exchanger is soiled.

If there is visible soiling, clean the heat exchanger in accordance with the operating instructions.

The ventilation grille under the door is obstructed.

Remove all objects that are obstructing the ventilation grille under the door.
