Laundry stiff after washing

The laundry is stiff after being washed in the washing machine.

The wrong amount of detergent has been used (too little or too much).

Too little detergent results in the laundry not getting properly clean, and with time, it may become grey and stiff due to limescale.

Too much detergent causes excess foam which prevents the laundry from moving freely in the drum, resulting in poor wash, rinse and spin performance.

Too much detergent also causes detergent deposits which clog the hoses over time.

Check the dispensing quantity of detergent. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

If you are using the “Pre-wash” extra option, pour 1/3 of the detergent into compartment I and 2/3 into compartment II.

If you are using TwinDos, check the TwinDos dispensing quantity in the washing machine settings. Proceed as follows to check whether the right dispensing quantity has been set:

  • Go to the “Settings” menu and select the “Set dispensing quantity” menu option.

The values set for dispensing detergent from compartments 1 and 2 can be checked and corrected.
