The ironing board has become unclipped even though the tower is not in its lowest position.
To lower the ironing board into its lowest working position, proceed as follows:
Press and hold the release button (1). While doing this, place the heels of your hands on the iron stand so that you can press the tower down.
Turn and hold the rotary control (2) in the direction (arrow symbol).
Press the tower down until it reaches its lowest position.
Let go of the rotary control and then the release button.
The tower is in the lowest position, allowing the ironing board to be clipped back into place or the steam ironing system folded up.
